Do you ever get an idea in your head and then black out and  the next thing you know you’re already down the road of making that idea reality?

I don’t know what I’m going to do with it but I’m thinking of a remote mounted setup for the Range Rover. As far as dumb ideas goes, this is up there.

I am no expert, but putting a supercharger on two wheels in that con figuration will most likely not get your more horsepower.

Now, if you added some fire to the mix, then maybe... but the current configuration is no optimal

How in the world does one remote mount a roots supercharger ?

So long as you can get a belt to drive it, you can mount a supercharger wherever you want.

Air gets pushed into outer instead of directly into lower intake manifold. From there, it’s no different from a centri or a turbo.

No idea how efficient it is

Every time I’m at the junkyard I look under the hoods of Rivieras and think “yeah I could make that fit” bit I never do it

You actually did it

There’s minimal evidence to work with online . Some people claim they can get 4 psi which would be fine with me. Doing a top mount would be a lot more custom fab work.

It’s been done, but I have no idea how well it would work.

The air conditioning is shot anyway which frees up space under the hood, some free mounting brackets, and some space on the crank pulley . The star s seems to align on this one.

Was actually my plan when I was going to put an M90 on my old Acclaim, planned on mounting it over the rear valve cover, moving the alternator to the front, and piping it in instead of cutting apart my plenum.

A supercharged Range Rover Classic is one of those things I’ve considered but just thought no to, but now I’ve actually got a V8 one I couldn’t care less about... what size supercharger is it? Just wondering...

It’s an Eaton M90 off of a Buick Regal. A 2001 I think. I’m planning on doing some aftermarket ECU or tuning the stock one and running it at like 4 psi. What year rover do you have?

I’ve got two (lucky/unlucky me), a ‘93 Vogue project that I sort of regret on so many levels and a ‘94 300TDI that is slow but surprisingly reliable, alternator not withstanding.

Grey one is the project, the blue one is the TDI.

Very nice, what bullbar is that? It sort of looks like one I’ve seen on a P38, but I might be wrong. Also loving the Hellas.

It’s the factory bull bar. When I got it, the outer sections had been crudely hacked off, so I just ground them down the rest of the way and painted it.

Thanks lol. Of everything I’ve done to the car, the Hellas get the most love. They can make any car 10x cooler.

My sorta plan (if I don’t sell it because I get sick of it) with the grey V8 is basically restore mostly to factory, bar the engine, swap in a manual to set the 3.9 free from the crappy autobox limitations (and gain about 7mpg possibly) and then maybe have it repainted BRG. The previous owner removed the air suspension really badly, crashed it into a JCB and put an air freshener (cherries. All I can smell is cherries) in it that stunk it out and let it sit for six years outside so it’s got some rust problems, nothing serious but I can see through the tailgate so I need a new upper and lower , but also fitted a stainless straight pipe that allows it to make dirty, but beautiful noises. That stays, if I do all what I plan. But I’ve got really stupid ideas I want to exercise, like swapping the Ferrari V8 from a Lancia Thema 8.32 into a Freelander 1 3 door or maybe make a camel trophy Disco one homage.
